A light watercraft boat sits parked on a dune, Chicks Beach on the Chesapeake Bay, VA only a few miles from where it empties out into the Atlantic Ocean. The summer months bring hot humid weather. Virginians vacation here, and other beaches along the coast for crabbing, fishing and water sports. This year during my visit VA Beach hosted the National Eastern Surfing competition where surfers come from around the world to compete.
